Proposal details
Application has been made by Amrize Canada Inc. to amend the current site plan. The change would remove a portion of the 15-metre northern setback. This change would allow for the site to connect with the adjacent proposed below water expansion (Licence #626102). Application #626102 considered the removal of the setback on Licence 3760 and anticipated the two pits would connect to form a single operation.
Public consultation opportunities
The adjacent expansion application by Amrize Canada Inc. (Licence #626102) considered below water extraction of the northern setback within Licence No. 3760 to align with the proposed expansion site. The following were circulated and provided the opportunity to review and comment on that proposal: Ministry of Natural Resources, Township of Clearview, Simcoe County, Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks (MECP), Nottawasaga Valley Conservation Authority (NVCA), Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Agribusiness (OMAFA), and landowners within 120m of the licence boundary. The consultation undertaken for application #626102 was equivalent to the consultation requirements under the Aggregate Resources Act for an amendment to extract below the water table .
