Her Majesty the Queen in Right of Ontario as Represented by the Minister of the Environment, Conservation and Parks - Environmental Compliance Approval (sewage)

Ontario Parks is intending on expanding the Presqu’ile Provincial Park with up to 42 campsites in the group camping area of the park. The proposed expansion will include a new mini comfort station and trailer sanitary dumping station that will be serviced by a new septic system. The proposed sewage works will be rated for an average daily sewage flow of 18,670 liter per day.

The proposed sewage works will be comprised of two 22,000 liter septic tanks servicing the proposed comfort station, one 30,000 liter septic tank servicing the trailer dumping station, and one 30,000 liter balancing tank, equipped with two submersible effluent pumps. The leaching bed will be comprised of a fully-raised leaching chamber septic bed, rated for a design sewage flow of 15,250 liters per day and comprised of 28 runs of 20.4 meter long trenches. Each trench will be comprised of 16 Equalizer EQ36 chambers and two end caps. The leaching bed will consist of a 52 metres x 38 metres sand contact area.
