We approved a new Environmental Compliance Approval (industrial sewage) No. 0511-BXUNBZ to Lundy Potato Farms Ltd. for the establishment and use of an existing closed-loop vegetable wash water treatment system at 7743 30th Sideroad, Township of Adjala-Tosorontio.
This decision is for the renewal of Permit to Take Water No.6662-89CPHK for Gwillimdale Farms Ltd. for industrial food processing purposes. Water will be taken from two wells related to food processing activities in Bradford West Gwillimbury, County of Simcoe, Ontario. The permit was approved June 2, 2021 under permit No. 2038-C3JWQAP.
We have amended Regulation 347 to remove requirements for the collection, storage and transportation of hazardous waste generated by COVID-19 antigen testing. The waste is still required to be disposed of at approved biomedical waste disposal site. Recommendations for storage and transportation of the waste will be set out in guidance.
