Proposal details

Official plan amendment 10 was adopted by the County of Simcoe on February 10, 2026, by By-Law No. 7164-26.  The County of Simcoe adopted Official Plan Amendment 10 pursuant to Sections 17 and 21 of the Planning Act by By-Law 7164-26. 

Official Plan Amendment 10 proposes to re-designate the site from Rural to Settlements in the land use designation schedule of the County official plan.  This amendment would facilitate a settlement area boundary expansion of approximately 60 ha (148 acres) in the Bradford Settlement area within the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury and permit a total of 938 residential dwelling units.  The materials attached or links in this notice provide the details regarding the proposed amendment.    

The Ministry will review the matter for consistency and conformity with applicable provincial land use policies and plans and will consider all feedback received before presenting any potential modifications to the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing for a decision in accordance with sections 17 and 21 of the Planning Act.
