Description of instrument
Application has been made by Lafarge Canada Inc. to change the direction of operational phasing to ensure more efficient extraction and operations. Currently the operational phasing proceeds from west to east on the north portion of the site, and then west to east on the south portion of the site. The proposal is to change the operational phasing so that extraction begins on the northwest portion of the site and moves in a counter clockwise direction ending in the northeast portion of the site. Progressive rehabilitation will follow each phase of operations. There are no changes proposed to the final rehabilitation plan.
