Description of Instrument

Goldcorp Canada Ltd. has submitted a Closure Plan Amendment for the Hoyle Pond Mine, for filing with the Ministry of Energy, Northern Development and Mines as required under the Mining Act. The amendment addresses changes that have occurred subsequent to the previous Closure Plan Amendment, filed in January 2003.

Details of the Closure Plan Amendment include:

  • bring the Closure Plan up to the standards included in Ontario Regulation 240/00
  • update Financial Assurance
  • update the schedule of proposed rehabilitation

All of these changes will be taking place within the existing property boundaries of the project.
