Description of Instrument
The McBean Joint Venture Property is situated in the Gauthier improvement district 15 km east of Kirkland Lake, Ontario. Amendments to the closure plan include updated costs and associated financial assurance.
The key items addressed herein include:
- changes to land tenure and ownership
- addition of the following openings to surface: Upper Canada Shaft No. 1, Upper Canada Ore Pass, and Upper Canada Raise 125
- results of the crown pillar assessment associated with H-93 Stope and associated rehabilitation measures
- past progressive rehabilitation activities including the decommissioning and removal of buildings and infrastructure
- addition of new buildings and infrastructure including core storage areas, garage, mobile office trailer, as well as, propane and fuel tanks
- associated updates to the Financial Assurance
- site name change from McBean Joint Venture Property to McBean Property
