Description of instrument
Application has been made by Cruickshank Construction Limited to amend the current site plan to lower the extraction elevation to 100 metres above sea level in the southern half of the existing licence.
The amendment would also change the final rehabilitation plan for the site to allow for the creation of a lake on the south part and a vegetated landscape with bedrock outcrops on the north part. Sloping is proposed at the required 3:1 ratio above the groundwater table and the natural angle of repose below the groundwater table.
A hydrogeological report has been submitted in support of this amendment application.
