New Entrance/Exit. West Carleton Sand and Gravel Inc. proposes a new entrance/exit in the northeast corner of the pit/quarry onto Moonstone Road north of Willowlea Road.

Other information

West Carleton Sand and Gravel Inc. (also known as Karson Kartage) operates Aggregate Resources Act Licence No. 4206. The proposed entrance/exit is to facilitate the removal of the large pile of overburden in the northern portion of the licenced area next to the 416 and 7 highway interchange.

The public may view a copy of the licence and site plan for this site at the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry (MNRF) Kemptville district office. Making an appointment to view the information is recommended to ensure aggregate staff will be available to provide information and answer questions.

Other public consultation opportunities

West Carleton Sand and Gravel Inc. will be required to obtain and provide the MNRF with proof of an entrance permit and/or comments from the City of Ottawa. The MNRF will consider all the comments prior to making a ruling on this proposal.
