Decision details
The changes to the site plan for ARA Licence No. 4945 were approved by the Minister on December 01, 2021.
The approval allows 2223117 Ontario Inc. to:
- reduce the extraction setback to 0 metres where licence No. 4945 and its proposed expansion, licence No. 625996, are directly adjacent to each other
- allow for the construction of a berm along the north and south boundary, within 3 metres of the licence boundary, to connect the berms between licence No. 4945 and its proposed expansion, licence No. 625996
- allow for aggregate from the proposed expansion, licence No. 625996, to be transferred to licence No. 4945 for processing and shipping
- allow for topsoil and subsoil to be transferred between licence No. 4945 and the proposed licence No. 625996 for rehabilitation purposes
- allow for relief from fencing requirements and setbacks along the proposed common boundary between licence No. 4945 and licence No. 625996
- integrate the proposed rehabilitation landform by removing the side slopes on the east portion of licence No. 4945 to create a pond across the common boundary between the two sites
This proposal was processed concurrently with a new licence proposal and a second amendment proposal to integrate the approved site licence No. 625996 with the adjacent licenced pit (ARA licence No. 4945) and to combine the annual tonnage between the two sites.
