Decision summary
The Director of Mine Rehabilitation has acknowledged receipt of the Closure Plan according to the provisions of the Mining Act. The Certified Closure Plan is now considered filed and the proponent must comply with the Closure Plan, as amended.

Description of Instrument
McEwen Ontario (1039344 Canada Inc..) has submitted an amendment for the Black Fox Mill site, for filing by the Ministry of Energy, Northern Development and Mines (MNDM), as required under the Mining Act, R.S.O., Chapter M14.
The amendment reflects changes associated with the company’s mining properties since the previous Closure Plan Amendment was filed with the Ministry of Northern Development and Mines, in 2017.
The objective of this Closure Plan Amendment (CPA) is to present a decommissioning strategy that reflects current site conditions and addresses issues related to environmental protection and public safety.
