I hate the idea of this proposal being passed. Please do not pass The Cap and Trade Cancellation act. Without it, we literally will not have any system in place that tries to limit the amount of emissions being released into the atmosphere.

We need a real climate change plan to reduce emissions, help people save energy and create jobs in the $26 trillion clean economy. Ontario should put a price on pollution, make polluters pay for their emissions, and return the revenues to the pockets of Ontarians.

I believe in climate change. I believe that we need to work towards real, effective mitigation strategies. A big cap and trade program, such as the one Ontario has, is a good first step. We need to keep cap and trade as a building block for future climate change mitigation programs.

We need to keep the cap and trade program as a minimum effort to mitigate climate change. We need to do much more. Be a leader in protecting the environment instead of wasting tax payers money taking the federal government to court!
