I object to Bill 4, Cap and Trade Cancellation Act, 2018. It cancels a system that was effective in reducing Green House Gas emissions, and it is very vague about measures that might be implemented in the future to fulfil the same purpose.

There is absolutely no evidence to support cancelling cap and trade but there is plenty of evidence in its favor. We are at a critical point and the government is playing politics with all our lives.
This should be the top priority of our government.

Using taxes is the most effective way of making sure carbon emissions are decreased. The latest news from those who actually know what they are talking about is that we only have a short time to act and the Nobel committee awarded prizes to academics who support using eg cap and trade.

I want Ontario to put a price on pollution, making polluters pay for their emissions and returning the revenues to the pockets of Ontarians so they can lower their carbon footprint.
Climate change is happening. The science is real, and well-supported. There are stories in the news every day that highlight the effects of climate change - severe storms, flooding, melting ice caps. As I write this comment, we are experiencing record high October temperatures.
