I am very angry to see the new Ontario government backing away from cap and trade which was surely the mildest action possible anyway, in light of the climate catastrophes we are facing. Nobody in Ontario would have to starve or go without medical care to accomplish this. Read more

Cancelling the cap and trade plan is outright the worst thing for our economy, planet and for individuals. I am absolutely against the current provincial government's actions to cancel existing (and income-generating) plans that are purposed to also help the planet. Read more

I am very unimpressed with this government's decision. Going into the election I knew Ford to be a populist, and as a populist that Ford would reject any progressive ideas and ignore 'facts' and other inconveniences. Does Ford accept that climate change is real? Does he 'believe' in science? Read more

I strongly disagree with Premier Ford cancelling the cap and trade program. I wonder if he understands how it works since he refers to it as a carbon tax. Worse still is the fact that he and his conservative ministers have come up with no plan to replace the program. Read more

This is a very irresponsible bill proposed by the Ford government. At this point in time we should be ramping up our efforts to fight climate change, not getting rid of them. This is a reality that needs to be faced head on. We can not just ignore the problem and pretend that it will go away. Read more

I am so very disgusted with the Ford governments plan to scrap the Cap & Trade plan. Why are we going backwards? Why are we not protecting what we have and reducing further pollution? Where is the forward thinking in this? WAKE UP PEOPLE. Read more
