As a young father and someone who cares about the environment that my family and friends live in, I am ashamed that this "government for the people" is willing to take this action.

60% of Ontario did not vote for this option or for this government, and we all enjoy our smog free days now. With this plan to repel the cap and trade program, you are setting us back and taking us down a road that will ensure further harm and damage to our environment.

There is a strong business case argument for speeding up our investments in clean energy and renewable resources, yet this government seems to be ideologically bent to some form of climate change denial. If you are not, then looking at evidence and science-based policy considerations would highlight the errors of your ways.

You are making a bad business decision and even worst decision for the health and well-being of the people of Ontario.

Will this "government for the people" actually do something for the people and protect our land, air and water and not recklessly destroy what advancements we have made on that front? Will you wait to be sued by another entity (this time Quebec and California) for pulling out of the Cap and Trade Program? or will you realize this is a bad decision that will cause the province more damage?
