Protect our water. It is inhumane and unconstitutional to allow large corporations to take water from public sources and sell it to the masses when Northern and local Indigenous communities have no access to clean tap water. Water is life.
The water in my area that is being taken at near zero cost to bottling companies and at an unknown cost to the local watershed and ecosystem. The people who live in this area need that water to live, farm, work, and protect the environment.

Please extend the moratorium. There has not been enough research done to determine the correct price for groundwater in our area. There is a huge opportunity for more resource royalties to help with Ontarios terrible debt situation.
I wholly support the extension of the moratorium. However, the year in which the moratorium covers needs to be used to develop stronger water policy, particularly related to groundwater and drinking water.

Stop bottled-water companies like Nestle from taking our ground water AT ALL! Specifically when you’re basically giving it away for free and the company is making millions! A fair price for our water, unlike what they pay now, is the only way I support continuing to allow this for another year!
Water bottling takes groundwater out of our watersheds and our Ontario government needs to ensure this is stopped to ensure a future water supply for our province's citizens. It is an unsustainable trend that needs to be completely phased out.

Taking excess amounts of water from the natural environmental can be highly detrimental to both ecosystems in the area, as well as people. As the water table gets lowered over time (which it will), wells will become less efficient, and streams may exhibit less flow.

Please Ontario, Let us make haste to enact policies , such that bottled water becomes as expensive as it actually is, in order to clean up as well as preserve the health of the wild, including us humans.
Do not renew these permits!! Nestle os a garbage company and we should not be subsidizing wasteful polluting companies. Sure they bring business but they cost us our water as well as the labour of recycling and cleaning up litter.

The moratorium on water taking permits should be extended indefinitely, water is a limited resource and should not be bottled for resale in single use plastic containers.
I approve the extension of the moratorium on bottled water taking. I have a key interest and responsibility as a citizen and a spiritual water protector to hold government to the task of performing tests on our ground water basins and aquifers.
