I am not in favour of any relaxation of laws to reduce emission standards. We have only 11 years to reduce emissions to 1.5 percent. Short-term policies supposedly to help the economy may well mean there is no economy left for our children and grandchildren. We all need to wake up now.

Incentives to make refineries more reliable and therefore more safe and efficient are a good approach for the environment and refinery competitiveness in Ontario. A reliable refinery doesn't need to use the flare all that often for significant so2 emissions. Read more
