Original proposal
Proposal details
Description of instrument
The proposal is for a new Environmental Compliance Approval - Waste Disposal Site (transfer/processing) for Super Sucker Hydro-Vac services Inc. The facility is a transfer/processing site with a total area of 1.3 ha, located at 636 and 648 Hazelhurst Road in Mississauga, Ontario.
The site is currently used to recover soils from hydro-excavated slurries that are not designated as wastes. It is anticipated that the slurries will be designated as wastes, and this is the reason for this application. The site will receive an aggregate total maximum of 100 m3/day of liquid waste or 100 tonnes/day of petroleum impacted soils. The maximum volume of liquid waste on site will be 100 m3, and the maximum quantity of petroleum impacted soils on site will be 100 tonnes.
In addition, the site will be used for temporary storage of excess soils. A maximum of 1,000 tonnes/day of excess soils may be received, and the maximum quantity of soils on site will be 5,000 tonnes.
Normal operating hours are from 07:00 hours to 19:00 hours, Monday to Friday. Other times possible in emergency situations. The facility serves the Province of Ontario.
