This change will lead to poorly planned development without public comment and due process. There is no guarantee that that the proposed development will produce the jobs guaranteed. This legislation short circuits the Planning Act and is short sighted and will lead to many land use conflicts.
This is one of the most ill-conceived proposals I have seen in my long life. Please, if you have any concerns for the environment and for the lives of our children and our grandchildren, stop this proposed open-for-business nonsense now.

I am very concerned about 2 aspects of the proposed Bill 66 - first, the removal of process for public comment and input on development projects and the potential of even more damaging suburban sprawl without proper assessment of impact to the existing community or to roads and transit.

I object to this omnibus legislation that will adversely affect so many aspects of the quality of life of for the people of Ontario by removing or reducing protection of our water sources, air quality, wetlands, and greenbelt.

I have serious concerns about the Greenbelt being opened up to developers. The Greenbelt is one of Ontario's strongest economic engines - without it, the cost of clean drinking water, the cost of transportation due to development sprawl, and the cost of healthy, local food will increase.

The science Climate Change is happening now is overwhelming.
Replacing the previous governments Climate Action Plan with a plan that sheds this provincial governments responsibility to our environment is not only dangerous but immoral.

Ontario's Greenbelt needs to continue to be protected. It cannot be compromised. Residential and industrial growth is already reducing Ontario's natural land and habitats. There needs to be greater protection for Canada's land, not less.
