This change will lead to poorly planned development without public comment and due process. There is no guarantee that that the proposed development will produce the jobs guaranteed. This legislation short circuits the Planning Act and is short sighted and will lead to many land use conflicts.

This is one of the most ill-conceived proposals I have seen in my long life. Please, if you have any concerns for the environment and for the lives of our children and our grandchildren, stop this proposed open-for-business nonsense now. Read more

Ontario's Greenbelt needs to continue to be protected. It cannot be compromised. Residential and industrial growth is already reducing Ontario's natural land and habitats. There needs to be greater protection for Canada's land, not less. Read more

As a long time resident of Hamilton/Stoney Creek, I am deeply concerned about the proposed changes outlined in Bill 66. I have lived and worked in this area for many years and have grown to love the social and natural diversity here. Read more

During the election campaign, Doug Ford promised to protect the Greenbelt yet within a few short months of the election, it is now fully "OPEN FOR BUSINESS". This is most disappointing, although I cannot say "unexpected". Read more
