I oppose this new regulation because It would compromise transparency and public engagement. Contrary to current legal requirements (Planning Act, Clean Water Act), the by-laws could be passed without any prior public notice, behind closed doors. Read more

I am strongly opposed to this legislation. As a professional land use planner, I understand the importance of regulations that protect our drinking water, the Greenbelt and the Great Lakes. These regulations are NOT red tape and it is dishonest of this government to suggest that they are. Read more

Please do not open up the Greenbelt for development. As Ontario continues to grow we must put our natural assets before profits, for quality of life depends upon far more than just profits. Our health, and that of our children and grandchildren, is more valuable than this.
