For starters baiting an animal for slaughter is disgusting and cowardly. Not surprising lazy hunters would rather shoot “fish in a barrel” then have to work for it or break a sweat walking any distance 😂. Read more

Baiting is not hunting. It is taking advantage of innocent animals. The MNR is responsible for protecting the environment and the animals that live in the environment, not caving to tourists, hunters and outfitters. This proposal is absolutely ludicrous.

The reasons for shortening the distance appear to be simply money and convenience for guides and "hunters". It also further puts the advantage to the hunters. Basically they can now just set up line of bait buckets and have a drive by shooting! Read more
