Original proposal
Proposal details
St. Marys Cement Inc. Canada has submitted a site plan amendment request to revise the sequence of operational phasing for the Bromberg Pit ARA licence #624927.The proposed changes to the site plan will allow extraction of Phase 2 and 3 simultaneously and the blending of materials between phases. The order of extraction in Phase 3a and Phase 3b would also be reversed thereby delaying the removal of a remaining woodlot until Phase 2 is ready for rehabilitation and to receive the woodland soils removed from the new Phase 3b. St. Marys is also requesting to expand and join Phase 1 and 2 and relocate the access road into Phase 2 south of an existing pond. This will avoid disturbing an area of Phase 1 that is already rehabilitated.
