The approved sewage works include storm sewers, an oil grit separator, and an underground storage system. The oil grit separator is to provide enhanced level of water protection, and the underground storage is to provide 52 cubic metres of maximum capacity and 140 litres per second of maximum discharge.

1. Prepare your application

What is considered

The appeal body will consider the following two questions in deciding whether to grant you leave to appeal:

  1. is there is good reason to believe that no reasonable person, with respect to the relevant law and to any government policies developed to guide decisions of that kind, could have made the decision?
  2. could the decision you wish to appeal result in significant harm to the environment?

Proposal details

This proposal is for a new Environmental Compliance Approval (Sewage) for KRS Holdings Wingham Inc. This application is for the approval to place new storm sewers, catchbasins, manholes, water quality unit and oil interceptor for the proposed commercial development at located at 82 Kerr Drive, Wingham, County of North Huron.

The proposed development will consist of a commercial building, gas bar and canopy and diesel cardlock and canopy.

The storm sewer outlet will discharge to the proposed 600 millimetre storm sewer to be placed within the north ditch on Amberly Road. This 600 millimetre outlets to the municipal drain on the south side of Amberly road.
