Proposal details

Avalon Advanced Materials Inc. has submitted a Mine Closure Plan for filing by MNDM as required under the Mining Act. This Closure Plan proposes the preparation of a 5,000 tonne bulk sample under the existing advanced exploration permit at the Project site (formally called the Big Whopper Rare Metals Pegmatite, Separation Rapids property). The proposed Program envisions that 2,500 tonnes will be crushed and shipped for process testing outside of Canada, as soon as practical to take advantage of a unique testwork opportunity. The remaining 2,500 tonnes of sample will remain on site for future testing.

This notice is provided to receive comments that can be considered in the decision-making process prior to the issuance of an exploration permit.

The filing of a certified closure plan does not relieve the proponent from compliance with any other requirements that are set out under the Mining Act or any other Act. All activities included in the certified closure plan must be carried out in compliance with Ontario Regulation 240/00 and the Mine Rehab Code (Schedule 1).
