I support extending the moratorium because it's essential to be very careful with our groundwater. Allowing it to be used for bottled water has many negative implications for our communities that need to be prioritized over what businesses want.

We should extend the moratorium on water bottling permits indefinitely. We need to protect our drinking water for generations to come. Why should we give international corporations that are not willing to adapt their packaging (i.e. plastic water bottles) to an environmentally friendly option? Read more

Thank you for proposing to extend the moratorium on using groundwater to produce bottled water. I strongly recommend that bottled water production be banned entirely given the disastrous environmental impact of plastics to marine life.

I’m a bit confused as to to why there isn’t a health or food security set of considerations here, or thought placed towards the long term maintenance of public order. I believe that it is extremely important to control the amount of water theses water bottling companies take. I even wonder if it should be allowed at all. I carry my water bottle with me every where and I fill it with my water. I refuse to buy their products.
