The site is located approximately 4 kilometres northwest of Leamington, ON.

The site is Aggregate Resources Act Licence # 19853 located north-west of Leamington, less than one-kilometre east of County Road 31 on the north side of Mersea Road 5.

Decision details

The changes to the site plan for ARA licence No. 19853 were approved by the Regional Director on May 30, 2022.

The approval allows Erie Sand and Gravel Ltd to amend the current site plan to show a new location of the entrance/exit to the licensed site. The entrance/exit at the new location is subject to municipal approval. If the amendment is approved, the existing entrance/exit, which enters a part of the licensed pit that has been rehabilitated, will be removed from the site plan.

This notice was updated on March 8, 2022 to advise the public that there has been no change to the status of the proposal, and it is still being considered.  No additional opportunity for comment is being provided for at this time.
