Contrary to popular belief, the CFSA exemption under the ESA does not mean forestry has a blanket exemption from protecting endangered species.

As a long time independant forestry contractor (42 yrs) I have witnessed many bust cycles. 1982, 1990, 2000, and the worst ever, 2008. The industry recovers, but never to the previous level, always short. So boom inbetween bust is a misnomer.
