Why consultation isn't required

On April 1, 2020, the Ontario Government made a temporary regulation to respond to the COVID-19 outbreak. Ontario Regulation 115/20 exempts all proposals for policies, acts, regulations and instruments from posting requirements under the EBR until 30 days after the declared emergency is terminated.

Proposal details

This proposal is for an amendment to the existing Environmental Compliance Approval (Sewage) No. 0290-65GQUG, issued on June 24, 2005, to upgrade the existing subsurface sewage disposal works, owned by Parkbridge Lifestyle Communities Inc., to increase rated capacity from 48,000 L/day to 60,000 L/day, and designed to service the seasonally operated Lonesome Pine Park Resort, located 2346 Pigeon Lake Road, Bobcaygeon, in the City of Kawartha Lakes, Ontario.

The proposed modifications to the sewage work consist of:

  • redirecting sewage flow from four septic systems to Sewage System number one (1),
  • installation of three new flow equalization tanks,
  • a raw sewage pump chamber,
  • a septic tank,
  • an effluent dosing pump chamber,
  • automatic distribution valves and
  • three Advanced Enviro-Septic® systems.
