Why consultation isn't required
On April 1, 2020, the Ontario Government made a temporary regulation to respond to the COVID-19 outbreak. Ontario Regulation 115/20 exempts all proposals for policies, acts, regulations and instruments from posting requirements under the EBR until 30 days after the declared emergency is terminated.
Proposal details
This proposal is for a new Environmental Compliance Approval (Air & Noise) for Lafarge Canada Inc. for the operation of a mobile crushing plant, equipped with one (1) crusher, one (1) screener, a stacker and associated diesel engines.
The equipment will be used to process aggregate throughout the province of Ontario and can potentially operate 24 hours per day, seven days per week, and 52 weeks per year.
Contaminant emissions to the air from this facility include total suspended particulate and products of combustion such as nitrogen oxides.
