Why consultation isn't required

On April 1, 2020, the Ontario Government made a temporary regulation to respond to the COVID-19 outbreak. Ontario Regulation 115/20 exempts all proposals for policies, acts, regulations and instruments from posting requirements under the EBR until 30 days after the declared emergency is terminated.

Proposal details

This proposal is for a new Environmental Compliance Approval (Industrial Sewage) to be issued to Kingslea Developments Limited, for the construction of stormwater management works in support of a proposed light industrial office and warehouse building, located at 131 Ellis Drive in the City of Barrie, Ontario.

The sewage works will include a dry pond, complete with storm sewers, for quantity control; and an oil-grit separator for quality control; with clean roof runoff directed to an infiltration trench on the east side of the site; discharging within the Lovers Creek Watershed.

Sanitary sewers will be connected to the existing city infrastructure on Ellis Drive.
