Why consultation isn't required

On April 1, 2020, the Ontario Government made a temporary regulation to respond to the COVID-19 outbreak. Ontario Regulation 115/20 exempts all proposals for policies, acts, regulations and instruments from posting requirements under the EBR until 30 days after the declared emergency is terminated.

Proposal details

Details of instrument

The purpose of the application for consent is to sever PIN 42152-0286 in half, resulting in one (1) new recreational lot and a retained of each approximately 2.4 hectares in size with 55.0 metres of frontage and 437.0 metres of depth. A TransCanada natural gas pipeline bisects the property in a north-south direction. The intent is to develop the properties on the east side of the pipeline.

The subject lands are currently vacant. Privately-owned and operated sewage systems and lake water are proposed to service the cottage lots. The property is accessed by water from Perch Bay Resort located in Darlington Bay on Lake of the Woods.
