The site plan amendment request for Aggregate Resources Act (ARA) Licence No. 607701 was approved by the Regional Director on August 16, 2021.
The site plan was amended by allowing an additional entrance along the western boundary of the site.

No comments were received in response to the Environmental Registry notice.
One comment was received through the ARA consultation process however it was out of scope of the amendment request. A decision was made to proceed with approval of the request.

Application has been made by Cambridge Aggregates Inc. to amend the current site plan to allow a new entrance into the North Dumfries Pit from Cedar Creek Road at a location west of Licence No. 52735. Currently, Cambridge Aggregates Inc. is utilizing an existing entrance located at Licence No. 17348 (Cedar Street Pit).
Other information
St. Mary’s Cement Inc. currently operates the adjacent sites under the authority of Licences No. 17348 (Cedar Street Pit) and No. 52735 issued under the Aggregate Resources Act.
Public consultation opportunities
The proposal request for this licence has been circulated within the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry. Additionally, notification of this application has been forwarded to the Township of North Dumfries, the Region of Waterloo and the Grand River Conservation Authority for comment
