The Pardo Advanced Exploration Project is located in the Clement and Pardo Townships, approximately 82 kilometers northeast of Sudbury and 25 kilometers north-northwest of River Valley, Ontario. Access is provided year-round from Highway 539 and 539A through River Valley, then north on Highway 805 for approximately 30 kilometers. The property consists of Mining Lease LEA-109722 located in the Sudbury Mining Division, North Central Ontario. The approximate geographic center of the property is located at 46.798° North, 80.263° West.

Decision details

Proposal details

Inventus Mining Corp. has submitted a Mine Closure Plan for the Pardo Project for filing by ENDM as required under the Mining Act. The purpose of the project is to test the gold content and recovery on site by way of a 50,000 tonne bulk sample in a total of 4 separate sites. Should a decision be made not to proceed to production, the property will be closed out according to the measures detailed in the closure plan.  The project site will be returned to a forestry and wilderness land use following closure. The information included within this Closure Plan includes baseline environmental studies and geotechnical assessments of aspects of the advanced exploration project.

The following are the major components of this Closure Plan as proposed by Inventus Mining Corp.:

  • characterization of current conditions at the site
  • project description
  • rehabilitation measures
  • monitoring program
  • expected site conditions after closure, and
