I love the proposal of expanding walking trials and supporting farmers in Richmond hill. It can protect our environment and future generations as well. In the period of stay-at-home, my family is happy that there is a park nearby and a trail to let us exercise and keep healthy and we feel so lucky.

The whole idea of a "Greenbelt" is poorly conceived. It has created the worst form of urban sprawl that I can imagine. It has forced people to live outside the Greenbelt and commute through it to get to jobs inside the GTA.

We need green spaces. Our kids have a right to have the same green spaces. THe government does not have the right to take it away, especially when wealthy developers are the ones to benefit the most.
It seems that the government needs to be far more ambitious with the expansion and include many other areas currently facing threats and developmental pressures - particularly other parts of the Grand River Watershed and areas such as Simcoe County and Dufferin County.
