I do everything in my power to fight what is the biggest threat to the planet: climate change so I'm more than just a little dismayed that the province would allow expansion of the wood pellet industry since it’s dirtier than coal and not a climate solution at all.

Burning wood pellets is actually worse compared to using coal with smokestacks, especially with the amount of deforestation to supply their "wood pellets." It's a false solution that will actually return more carbon to the atmosphere and further devastate the beautiful nature Canada is known for.

Please restrict the wood pallet industry. A lot of trees which we need to survive are destroyed to make shoddy wood pallets that are often left abandoned and not reused or recycled. They are treated as disposable items and left to rot leaving exposed nails for children to hurt themselves with. Read more

We are in a declared climate emergency. Climate mitigation includes protecting intact forests which are large carbon capture sites. Burning trees for electricity releases the carbon capture and increases co2 the main driver of climate change. We must move to carbon free energy. Read more
