Stop expanding the wood pellet industry which directly results in two things which are destructive and must be stopped - the cutting down of our forests and the extreme pollution of our air!!!

Forests are the Earth's oxygen, burning trees are greenhouse gas (carbon dioxide) contributors. Let's NOT use our forests as fuel for electricity generation.
Why is this government hell bent on supporting these destructive out of date policies when there are so many alternatives to replace these destructive practices.
The trees stand between humans and full on irreversible climate change, we need more trees not fewer. Why are governments so blind to the irrefutable science for the past 40 years? It’s only the planet at stake!
Are you paying attention?
To whom it may concern,
One of the main products of Ontario’s forest biomass industry is wood pellets. Wood pellets are marketed as a clean energy alternative, but we know that wood pellets are dirtier than coal at the smokestack.

I'm opposed to expansion of the wood pellet industry.
A decision to burn more wood pellets means burning more trees for electricity – producing a fuel that’s even dirtier at the smokestack than coal. I am speaking up to ask the Ontario government to stop this harmful industry in its tracks.
Wood pellets are dirtier than coal at the smokestack and increasing deforestation as a climate solution is not viable. Ontario should not create jobs that decimate the earth.
Expanding the forest sector is not the answer. It’s worse for the environment. Burning wood for fuel is technology of the Stone Age we need to move past that and support true green solutions. That and logging is already extremely disruptive especially the clear cutting practices currently employed.
Stop the produ tonight of wood pellets. They pollute the air we breathe. Their use does not improve the invironment they are one more cause of pollution.
This is absolutely archaic at this point. We have so many forms of sustainable energy that this form of environmental destruction in the name of energy is absurd. We need to stop cutting down tree and start planting as many as we can!!
