I am requesting that the Ontario Government stop expanding the wood pellet industry. We need to protect our forests. Burning wood pellets is also damaging for the environment. There is a huge risk of whole trees ending up used in these products.

This is absolutely absurd and an embarrassment to Ontario. This is so far from an "action plan", this does not address any of the issues. I'm ashamed to call myself an Ontarian.
Are we not better than this? With all the advancements, technology and clean energy options we have, the choice to cut down our forests is an option? Why?
Please think of our earth and the future of it. Stop promoting the wood pellet industry. We need trees to help fight climate change and we do not need to be encouraging the burning of wood.
Cutting down trees is not a solution and only worsens our problem. We need clean alternatives, not ones which create deforestation under the guise of being 'clean'. This is simply replacing one dirty industry with another.
Please stop the expansion of the wood pellet industry. We know that wood pellets are dirtier than coal at the smokestack and increasing deforestation as a climate solution is not viable.
