To whom can listen and prevent the passing of the amendment to issue licences and transfer of existing licenses to captured our beloved wildlife animals by horrible traps with the “purpose” of training “hunting”dogs. Read more

This is a horrific idea - to encourage the capture and captivity of wild animals so that dogs might learn to track them more easily. This will be hugely open to abuse. Wild animals should not be held captive for ANY reason other than relocation or conservation efforts. Please do NOT pass this bill.

These dog trial and train operations are inhumane, cruel to the wildlife used and abused in this way. Please give consideration to a reverence for life and thus move forward in civilization. Thank you.

I am strongly opposed to the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry’s proposal to allow new licenses, and the transfer of existing licenses, for dog train and trial areas in Ontario. Read more

I am completely opposed to this proposal and frankly shocked that it would even be brought forth. These barbaric practices were phased out in 1997 for good reason. Why on earth would we go backwards and perpetuate these cruel places to continue and even expand? This is such a shameful situation. Read more

Let's stop torturing wildlife and try to help preserve them. Live and let live without causing pain and unnecessary suffering to any other living being. Man has destroyed enough of our world, please stop this nonsense just for thr sake of entertainment purposes. Read more

Do not allow to open any new training facilities for hunting dogs, and close all existing ones immediately. Stop the horrible abuse of foxes, rabbits and other wild animals! Wildlife should never be used for brutal medieval practices! Read more

As a strong Indigenous woman I am sickened to learn that the government is considering allowing our sacred local wildlife to be used as bait. This is horrible and must not be permitted . We must protect all living beings and not harm them. I strongly urge you to abandon this idea.

This is a horrible practice that needs to be stopped rather than opening it up again. No wild animals should have to be terrorized in the name of sport or any human activity. Read more

I don’t agree with this change. We established that the training facilities were a cruel environment years ago. Grandfathering the existing operations was the concession. Do not now backtrack on this. No new facilities should be allowed. Read more
