Proposal details

This proposal is for a new Environmental Compliance Approval (sewage) for Marineland of Canada Inc. The proposal is to address the high concentration of E. coli being discharged into Pell Creek from the Marineland property.

This proposal is for the rehabilitation of an onsite fishpond. The proposed works include:

  • removing and relocating fish and waterfowl
  • draining the pond
  • excavating impacted sediments
  • replanting the shoreline
  • refilling the pond

The works will discharge to Pell Creek and the effluent from the pond is expected to meet Provincial Water Quality Objectives.
