With the south shore of Prince Edward County being an area of bird migration, with more birds passing through than Point Pellee ( which is maximally protected), keeping it minimally developed and unindustrialized is critical.

The proposal to make these two sections of crown land, as well as areas offshore an established conservation reserve is welcomed. This area has exceptional biodiversity with naturalists and biologists discovering more each year.

I support creating a conservation reserve along the south shore of Prince Edward County. As a significant landing place for migrating birds this area is important to all of Canada.
This is an extremely important addition to conservation land in Ontario. There is room for much more protected land here. Private ownership is an important concept but only when matched by large and numerous tracts of public lands open to all. This greatly improves the lives of citizens generally.

This has been under consideration for decades and naming the area as a reserve is more than welcome. The site is an important avian migration point and is important to protect.
