Decision details

We issued an amended Environmental Compliance Approval to Mitsui High-Tec (Canada), Inc. to update the emission sources at their facility located at 60 Fen Ridge Court in Brantford, Ontario. Mitsui High-Tec (Canada), Inc. manufactures electrical components such as motor cores and machine tools using machining and die technology.

The assessment of emission sources used the ministry's current regulatory air dispersion model and the facility's contaminant emissions were all found to be compliant with O. Reg. 419/05.

The Environmental Compliance Approval No. 9123-CN6QY6, issued February 4, 2023 to Mitsui High-Tec (Canada), Inc. revokes and replaces Environmental Compliance Approval No. 8759-AR7JEK, issued September 20, 2017.

Processes occurring at the facility include:

  • two presses to form component parts
  • tungsten inert gas, metal inert gas and laser welding
  • die grinding
  • cleaning of metal components for quality control purposes

Contaminant emissions to the atmosphere from this facility include iron and nickel.
