What is considered

The appeal body will consider the following two questions in deciding whether to grant you leave to appeal:

  1. is there is good reason to believe that no reasonable person, with respect to the relevant law and to any government policies developed to guide decisions of that kind, could have made the decision?
  2. could the decision you wish to appeal result in significant harm to the environment?

Proposal details

The proposal is for a new Environmental Compliance Approval for the improvement of on-site sewage works that service the existing campground facilities and on-site residence at the Fiddlehead Resort Camp, located in the Town of South Bruce Peninsula, Ontario.

The peak sewage rate of sewage generation is expected to remain at the current rate of 19,200 litres per day.

The upgrades will involve the construction of two sewage systems:

  • one for seasonal campground use
  • one for year-round residential use

They will include:

  • new raised tile beds
  • pumping chambers
  • dosing tank systems
