I am adamantly against expansion and putting developer interests above what is best for people and the community in the short, medium and long term. I believe that smart/intentional buildings and planning is needed to inject innovation and maintain stability in the Region's growth. Read more

It is a plan that accommodates more growth and still protects our groundwater. Our region has productive farmland and produces food for our growing province. Read more

We need to focus on an economy that prioritizes protecting farmland and forests. We are locking ourselves into concrete jungles with very little greenspace to enjoy on a daily basis... We require cars to travel to the forest. Read more

There is no need for the provincial government to amend this plan, or override it with their own. Local experts have taken their time and through long hours have accounted for what and how we can grow our communities and still keep out of pristine farmland, wetlands and nature/conservation areas. I fully support the plan for Region of Waterloo. It was been arrived at by extensive consultation. It is well thought out, comprehensive and forward thinking. This plan allows for new homes to be built in "in-fill" which is an efficient and cost effective approach. Read more

Please do not use farm land to build commercial buildings or residential housing. Our green space and farm land needs to be protected for future generations. Farmers feed cities. Cities cannot be fed without the land to grow the crops that supply the food. Please respect the existing boundaries.

I am opposed to any body making changes t the plans that have been carefully crafted by local governments who are familiar with the needs of their citizens. I urge you to leave these plans as they are and not make it possible for provincial governments to amend or change them
