I am writing in support of the Region of Waterloo Official Plan. It took an immense amount of hard work to get to the consensus required for this very thoughtful document to be completed and then approved. It places the Region in an excellent position to meet its housing needs for the next decades.

I hereby urge Minister Clark to approve the Waterloo Region ROP without any changes. It is imperative that the Waterloo Region ROP be approved intact as it was overwhelmingly approved by all our area municipalities and Regional government this past summer.

I fully support the Waterloo Region 30 year Land Use Plan, which meets the criteria imposed by the Province while also safeguarding our countryside lines, our greenspaces and essential farmland, and our natural groundwater filtration areas.

I urge Minister Clark to approve our Waterloo Region ROP without any changes. We need to see it approved intact. It was overwhelmingly approved by all our area municipalities and Regional government this past year and was created with wide citizen consultation.
