Proposal details
This proposal is for an amendment to Environmental Compliance Approval No. 6991 BRJQVM for sewage works servicing the Lactalis dairy products manufacturing plant, located at 490 Gordon Street in Winchester, Ontario.
The amendment would allow for an increase in discharge of 2,400 cubic metres per day from its currently approved rate of 1,400 cubic metres per day, subjected to a satisfactory completion of an assimilative capacity of the receiving water (Annabel Drain).
The existing sewage system consists of collection, transmission, treatment and disposal of treated sewage to Annable Drain, which would be able to handle the new flow of 2,400 cubic metres per day within the existing Environmental Compliance Approval restrictions for effluent quality and dilution rates.
No changes to the existing stormwater system approved under the existing Environmental Compliance Approval No. 6991 BRJQVM will be required.
