Bill C-23 is an act of ecological warfare. This bill will cause ecological terror. Wetlands are vital to our global ecosystem structures. Without wetlands, many species would be left fragmented and our carbon cycling would see drastic changes.
The Ontario Farmland Trust (OFT) recommends that the proposed changes allowing for wetlands within a complex to be re-evaluated individually are removed, and that the term wetland complex is reinstated in the evaluation documents.
