I hope the auditor general of Ontario and the provincial ethics commission will do a thorough investigation of the allegations that developers were given prior notice of this Act so they could buy up huge parcels of land that were supposed to be protected.

The Greenbelt is a critical land mass that needs to be maintained and remain intact. It provides billions in ecosystem services and more. It is a natural, cultural, economic and environmental asset that shouldn't be traded away for short-sighted gains.

I do not support bill 23! Preserving the natural world is of utmost importance! The green belt is a very crucial and beautiful area and damaging that ecosystem would have detrimental affects.
It is essential our natural environment be protected for existing and future generations. As such we need to stop any and all development on greenspaces in order to protect headwaters of our streams, aquifers, single wetlands and wetland complexes, grasslands, meadows and forests.

The point of the Greenbelt is to protect the land. We need affordable housing put in places that make sense and arent just rushing to fill construction contracts.

I DO NOT support this Act. It does little, if anything, to address the actual causes of home affordability or provide immediate relief.
This Act seemingly exists only to help developers increase their margins while offloading infrastructure costs to municipalities.

I'm adding my voice to those opposed to Bill 23. I don't want to see more urban sprawl into our greenspace. Ford has overstepped. It should not all be about money and greedy developers. Urban planners are advising against this too.

Protect Ontario's Greenbelt. Utilize the less desirable land around Toronto to solve the housing crisis. Stop allowing developers to build enormous monstrosities that appeal to only millionaires.
This is a terrible, needless waste of valuable conservation and farm land.
If approved it will harm Ontario forever.
The Greenbelt is also a major source of groundwater that eventually flows into Lake Ontario to provide clean water for household use.
