Municipalities need better studies of the cultural and natural heritage systems before any development proposals are even submitted. The province should be funding these studies to make it possible for municipalities to streamline their approval processes.

The provincial government has said very little when it comes to setting clear higher-density standards in new and in-fill housing. This is an obvious solution that would help to conserve our natural heritage from the pressures of development. Read more
