I have read the Ontario Housing Affordability Task Force report published February 2022, and so I appreciate the housing crisis Ontario is facing. However, within the same report, it reiterates that encroaching in the Greenbelt is unnecessary to address the housing issues Ontario is facing. Read more

This is a protected space that was promised to be left alone and in the midst of the school and housing crisis currently going on the Ford government is trying to sneak through these changes to the amendment. We want this land to continue staying protected. Leave the Greenbelt area alone.

We need real affordable housing solutions like apartments for working class Canadians. Read more

As a citizen of ontario I am 100% opposed to this plan. The greenbelt is to remain untouched, not developed into subdivisions. The greenbelt is supposed to be a legacy for all of ontario, not reserve of land for Doug and developers to capitalize on. Read more

Extremely disappointing that this government is blatantly going back on its word. There is enough land in this province to build without taking away from the greenbelt. Such a disappointment that my childrens' generation will be paying for. Shame.
