What disturbs me most about the passing of this bill is its shortsightedness and lack of proper planning. Municipalities, environmental groups, housing experts and citizens alike oppose Bill 23 because simply put- it will not fix the housing crisis. Read more

Hello, It makes no sense to pave over farmland in the green belt. Your government promised not to touch this. Once it’s gone it’s gone. In an age where we face ever growing food insecurity it is so short sighted to do this. It is a betrayal of the public trust and of future generations. Read more

It would be a crime to destroy the habitat of our already disappearing wildlife and greenery. What does it teach our children if we choose to eradicate what little beauty there is left on this earth, for a temporary luxury that benefits only a few. Read more

I don’t think it’s appropriate to develop the green belt for construction. With ongoing climate change, it is important to preserve greenbelts to help against pollution and loss of habitat for wild life. More and more encroachment is resulting in wild animals losing their habitats. Read more
